Pedlar Bantam Panthers split points in busy week
The Pedlar Funeral Home Bantam Panthers finished a busy week with a 1-1-1 record in 3 hard-played games.

.  On Jan 14th, the team travelled to Grimsby to play Grimsby #1.  In a game that saw both teams going all-out, the Panthers were first on the scoreboard on a goal by Matt Vandenhaak from Spencer Reynolds & Mitchell Karnay.  Grimsby tied it up with a power play goal at the end of the 1st frame, then took the lead with two quick goals early in the 3rd.  Charlie Devries scored on a beauty with the help of Zach Baltrusiunas & Ben Roptus, but the Panthers weren’t able to make up the deficit and lost 2-3.

Next, the Panthers were off to NOTL to face NOTL #1 on Jan 17th.   In a game which was more highly contested than the final score would suggest, the Panthers were up two goals at the end of the 1st period on shots from Zach Baltrusiunas (helped by Jacob Gula and Spencer Reynolds) and Spencer Reynolds (from Ben Roptus).  Charlie Devries widened the lead with a goal assisted by Mitchell Karnay and a second unassisted netter.  Jacob Gula topped off the game with a final goal assisted by Ben Roptus.  Ross Michalko earned the shut-out in the 5-0 win.

The next evening, it was back to home ice to face Pelham #1.  In a very tightly-played match from both teams, the other Pelham team took the lead in the 2nd period with the first goal of the game.  Charlie Devries tied it up on a shot from Ethan Wellman & Dan Durkin and the tie held at the final buzzer.  Goaltending was showcased at both ends of the rink and Tyler Scott made some highlight-reel-worthy saves in the game.
