Pedlar Bantam Panthers work together for wins
The Pedlar Funeral Home Bantam Panthers put together a solid team effort to start December with a pair of wins.

On Saturday, Dec 6th, the Panthers headed to Beamsville to face the Lincoln Blades.  The team started out slowly and goalie Tyler Scott stood solid in the net to keep the game scoreless before the Panthers started to gel in the 2nd frame.  Spencer Reynolds was first to find he back of the net from Charlie Devries and Blaise Zantinge.  Ben Roptus picked up Zantinge’s rebound to put away the game’s second goal.  Zach Baltrusiunas scored a highlight-reel-worthy sinking of a shot rebounded off the backboard from Devries and Ethan Wellman and scored again off a pass from Devries and Elliot Song.  A 4-1 victory for Scott.

The following evening, the Panthers hosted a tough Grimsby #1 team.  With the Panthers on a penalty-kill, Charlie Devries maintained possession of the puck down the length of the ice and zeroed in on the upper right corner for the game’s first goal.  Zach Baltrusiunas deflected a shot from Mitchell Karnay and Dan Durkin for another, and Joey Natale rocketed one to the netting from Devries and Spencer Reynolds for the game’s final, and team’s second shorthanded, goal.  Ross Michalko made some spectacular saves to earn the 3-0 shut-out.
