Home Bantam Panthers kept it local with a trio of games played at the Pelham
Arena.
. On November 23rd, they took an early lead against Pelham #1 thanks to goals from Spencer Reynolds (assist Matt Vanderhaak) and Jacob Gula (assist Mitchell Karnay). Pelham 1 came back to tie it up before Joey Natale and Charlie Devries pinballed the puck around the net and Natale netted the game winner. Devries finished an end-to-end breakaway with an insurance goal and netted another with the help of Natale and Elliot Song. Goalie Ross Michalko picked up the 5-2 win.
On the 24th, the Panthers hosted NOTL#2. Charlie Devries unleashed a beauty to score the first goal. Blaise Zantinge sent a rocket from the circle to give the Panthers a 2-goal lead before NOTL slipped one past netkeeper Tyler Scott. But it wasn’t enough as the Panthers played to a 7-2 victory with a goal from Matt Vandenhaak, a pair of goals from Spencer Reynolds, and a hat trick game from Devries. Zach Baltrusiunas picked up an assist.
The Panthers hosted Grimsby #2 on November 30th. Down 3-0 and over half the game gone, Zach Baltrusiunas went 5-hole to claim the Panthers’ first goal with help from Ben Roptus and Matt Vandenhaak. Baltrusiunas doubled the tally on a deflection of a shot from Elliot Song and Vandenhaak. With 1:19 left in the game and the extra attacker ready, Mitchell Karney picked up the tying goal from Jacob Gula and Charlie Devries. Ross Michalko manned the pipes for the 3-3 game.
