Pedlar Panthers battle on the road
The Pedlar Funeral Home Bantam LL Panthers headed back to Niagara ice with a fast-paced seesaw battle against Grimsby #3 on November 15th

After a scoreless 1st frame Grimsby took the lead but Zach Baltrusiunas emerged from a scrum to rifle the loose puck into the netting to tie the game.  Assists went to Matt Vanderhaak and Elliot Song.  When Grimsby responded, Charlie Devries knotted the game again with the help of Baltrusiunas.  A power play goal put Grimsby out front again and, as the clock ticked down, it seemed that the Panthers might be handed their first loss of the season.  But with 18.9 seconds on the clock and the extra attacker on the ice, Devries went high stick side for the tying goal.  Starting goalie, Tyler Scott withdrew with an injury mid-game and Ross Michalko filled his spot at the net.

The next night, the Panthers faced Pelham #3 at home.  The Panthers came on strong in the first period scoring 3 quick goals:  Matt Vanderhaak picked up Jacob Gula’s rebound for the first, Charlie Devries scored unassisted, and Ben Roptus found the back of the net helped by Zach  Baltrusiunas and Vandenhaak.  As both teams settled in, the Panthers scored three more goals before the final buzzer: Joey Natale sailed the puck to the back of the net from Elliot Song, Roptus picked up his second of the game from Baltrusiunas and Vandenhaak and Spencer Reynolds unleashed a bullet from Devries.  Goalie Ross Michalko picked up the 6-1 win.
