Red v. Green marks the start of the Christmas season
In a festively coloured outing, the Red Canadiens continued to improve their team play. Battling a short bench, with only eight players dressing for Saturday's contest, the Canadiens distributed the scoring across six different players.
Scoring his first goal in a Canadiens uniform was Alex, finding the puck in a crowd just outside the Green team's crease and slipping it past the emerald-jersey'd netminder.
Paulo continued his scoring streak adding his second marker in as many weeks.
Multiple goal performances came from Brayden, Adam, Jonah and Isaac, who lead the scoring for the first time this season.
Tyler proved almost impenetrable between the pipes, turning aside nearly everything that came his way. He was aided greatly by a strong defensive effort from the whole team. The Canadiens focused on taking away the middle of the ice, and keeping a body on the players in front of the net. As a result, most of the Green team's shots were from 20 feet out or from sharp angles. Rebounds were quickly put outside or up ice, leading to offensive chances.
