U8 (7 & under - Minor Novice) & U9 (8 & under - Novice)
The Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA), which PMHA is affiliated was has made changes to the Minor Novice and Novice programs addressing Long-Term Player Development. Further details about the program can be found on the OMHA website. For PMHA it means the following:
U8 - Minor Novice
- will be age 7 participants
- half-ice format
- 4v4 format plus goaltender
- No full time goalie, every player takes a turn
- is approximately 2 ice times per week
- Registration for PMHA Novice LL players also includes the participation in one local tournament / jamboree
U9 - Novice
- will be age 8 participants
- half-ice format to start transitioning to full ice in January
- 4v4 format plus goaltender
- No full time goalie, every player takes a turn
- Registration for PMHA Novice LL players also includes the participation in one local tournament / jamboree
PMHA Local League hockey runs for approximately 7 months from September to March,
Register EARLY - Registration is on a first come, first serve basis.
All divisions have Player caps/limits.
What is included in your registration:
- jersey & socks,
- a team photo
- approximately 1-2 games or practices per week

Accounts are required to be paid in full by October 15th.
Hockey is a great team sport and there are a number of associations that will assist so children can participate; if you need assistance or to setup a payment plan please contact our Treasurer.
