Hockey is back! Here are the key things to know!
The Local League season is kicking off very soon, and PMHA is excited to welcome new and returning Panthers this season.

Here are some key things to know:

Registration

- Registration is still open. Some divisions are on a waiting list, but more teams may open up, so register soon if you haven't already!

Volunteering

- We are still in need of volunteers, including on-ice volunteers and coaching staff.   Reach out to your division director if you are interested in any kind of volunteer role. Find your director contact here>

- If you are planning to be volunteer, you should apply IMMEDIATELY for a Vulnerable Sector Check, and ensure you have other required certifications.

-- Learn how to apply for your VSC here>

-- Check other required qualifications here>

Pre-season skates

- Local League pre-season begins the week of Sept 16.

- Keep an eye out for emails from your division director letting you know which team # to attend for pre-season skates -- and please be sure to attend the correct ice time.

- Check the calendar for your ice times>

Regular season

- Toward the end of pre-seasons coaches and division directors  will place you into your final team for the regular season. (It may not be the same team # as pre-season).

- Regular season games will start from October 15th

Getting your player ready

- All players from hockey school and up must take the ice with full equipment -- this includes a mouthguard and neckguard.

- Players who don't bring this necessary equipment will be asked to leave the ice for their own safety and for insurance reasons.

- Here's a handy equipment checklist from OMHA >

- Players should also bring a water bottle to each session, clearly marked with their name.

As always, keep an eye on the website and PMHA social media for more information as we have it!
