Family Day Tyke Tournament Classic
The Pelham Tyke Brown Bears showed that they are a team built for games that matter.

The Pelham Tyke Brown Bears showed that they are a team built for games that matter. They played their best hockey all year going undefeated through the weekend (4-4, 2-1, 6-4 & 4-3). The weekend was capped off by the Bears pulling off a stunning come from behind victory in their final game with Ella “Wild Style” Paquin scoring with 15 seconds left in a tied game, her second of the night. It was a team effort with Jack “The Tank” Cargnelli having a five goal game performance, Mason “Soft hands” Kenny a four goal game, Hudson “Powerplay” McLachlin showing unbelievable versatility playing defence and forward , Austin “Zamboni” Dixon, Brayden “Rocker” Saplywy, Kaleb “Smiley” Grenier all had career performances. As all hockey insiders know you can only win with solid defence and that was shown by Luca “Steady Hands” Saari and Owen “Boom Boom” Fyfe clearing away all loose pucks. The player of the weekend was goalie sensation Beau “The Brick Wall” Christian who stopped breakaway after breakaway to secure the wins. Head Coach Matt Dixon stated “The team really showed character all year and came to play this weekend. The coaching staff of Chad Christian, Rob Cargnelli, Richard Saari and myself are super proud of all the players and would like to thank the fan club who showed how Pelham supports and cheers”.
