Black Knights Golden Moments
Submitted By TM on Monday, December 8, 2014
Each game we try to celebrate a "Golden Moment" from one of our players...

....and so far this season we have recognized the following plays.

Moment 10 - Lucas rushed the point in the defensive end causing a turnover and showed great speed in beating the opponent to the puck, and then moving in on the breakaway

Moment 9 - Tanner drove hard to the net and the goalie robbed him with a great save, but Tanner's effort was a favorite play of the game.

Moment 8 - Noah played his defensive role perfectly on a fast 2 on 1 and stayed in the middle of the rush to smartly break up the quality scoring chance in the last minute of the victory.

Moment 7 - Emma managed to get a hard shot on the net after her usual good positioning and hard work, and the puck went through and in resulting in the game winning goal for the Knights!

Moment 6 - Jeremy took the puck end to end and buried his breakaway opportunity, but three teammates followed him hard to the net with sticks down ready for a possible rebound - great play!

Moment 5 - Sam R drove to the net without the puck while the offense entered the zone and he made a beautiful play to knock in the loose puck for Pelham's third period goal.

Moment 4 - Ethan B came across the ice in his own end, tied up the opponent nicely, deflected the puck from a sure goal and cleared the crease from further threat of another shot....great defensive play!

Moment 3 - Liam made a push to the net where Emma had taken a position screening the goaltender, and Liam buried the shot

Moment 2 - David left his spot on forward in our own end, dropped into a defensive mode, and made a sliding save to stop the puck from going into the open net during the second period

Moment 1 - Ryan took on the fastest and most skilled player from Thorold all game long, but he made a fantastic stop just inside our blueline with the opposition moving quickly towards our end. Ryan was bowled over on the play but managed to still defend his position and get the puck out of our zone.
