REP TRYOUTS - IMPORTANT INFO
Please read this important info about rep tryouts!

Tryouts will begin on May 3rd, 2025 for Pelham Minor Hockey REP teams.  Please see the calendar posted on  https://pelhamminorhockey.com  for the list of all tryout times.

Some of our groups will be split up across 2 ice times.  AN EMAIL WILL BE COMING IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS TO LET YOU KNOW WHAT GROUP YOU ARE IN FOR TRYOUTS.

Please see below for  a few importance things to note:

ALL Players MUST be PRE-REGISTERED for tryouts.  You must click the registration link below and sign up for tryouts.  If you are not pre registered you will not be allowed on the ice.

  • There is a tryout fee of $120.00 to be paid in CASH at the door.  PLEASE NOTE THAT NO SKATERS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE ICE WITHOUT PAYMENT.  Please plan ahead, visit an ATM and have cash ready.

  • You must come and sign in at the table by the elevator before heading to the changeroom please. This is where you will pay the tryout fee, receive your jersey and be assigned your tryout number.

  • All skaters will be guaranteed 3 skates.  Numbered releases will begin after the third skate.

  • Skaters will be given a tryout jersey that will need to be returned after EACH skate.  After the tryout, players will be asked to come and hang up their jerseys on the rolling rack at the sign in desk. Please do NOT leave your jersey in the change room, on the floor or in your bag.

  • There will be evaluations taking place at all tryout skates by both coaches and PMHA independent evaluators.

  • It is suggested that you arrive 45 minutes BEFORE the tryouts begin to get  your assigned jersey and be ready to go.

  • Please do not arrive minutes before the tryouts begin and look for your  questions to be answered.  Coaches are preparing their tryouts, and getting organized. They are unavailable.

  • Please ensure that your skater has checked all equipment including neck guard,  mouth guard and water bottle.  Being prepared calms the nerves for skaters and parents.

  • Releases will be made using a number system this year.  This is new.  At sign in, your child will receive a card with an individualized number when they check in.  This number will be posted on the PMHA website after each skate to let you know if your child is continuing on in the tryout process.  If your number is NOT posted, you have been released and are encouraged to register for Local League.

  • *New signing process* Once the coach has decided to offer you a spot on the team, the Registrar will be sending out a link that you MUST complete within a timely manner.  It is only once this link has been completed that you are considered “signed” and your spot secured.

  • Things happen, and kids get sick, hurt etc.  If you are in a situation where your child is unable to attend the tryout for one of these reasons, please communicate with us.

Please reach out with any questions and we are happy to help navigate you through this exciting and nerve-racking time.
