Novice BB Panthers Win in Thorold Tourney
This past weekend the Kirkpatrick Stoneworks Novice Rep BB Panthers team took part in the Beaverloch Tournament in Thorold.  They managed to win a tight game against the Petrolia Oilers 5-4 to start the tournament.

The boys struggled in game two losing to Twin Centre 5 -4.

Later that day, the team was highly motivated by the return of defenseman J. Dunn and put in a dominating performance beating Belmont 5-1.  The young Panthers were able to carry that momentum into Sunday beating Thorold in the semi-final 7 - 1.

The finals was a rematch against their first opponent of the tournament the Petrolia Oilers.  The Panthers controlled the game from the drop of the puck showing a lot of heart and playing great team defense.  However, they had two goals called back in the first period and entered the second period tied 0 - 0.  The Panthers were able to find the back of the net several times in the second and third finishing the championship game with a 5 - 0 victory.

It was a great team effort!  The entire coaching staff is proud of the boys and are looking forward to our next tournament in Fort Erie.

We are ..... PANTHERS!
